DESCRIPTION:Join us for a beginner friendly ice climbing trip in the Canmore are on the Feb long weekend. Climbing days will be Sat Feb 16 and Sun feb 17 with exact climbing locations TBD. \nParticipants will be responsible for their own accommodations and transportation. Generally\, this can be arranged with other trip participants to share costs. Climbers will also need crampons\, ice climbing boots\, ATC\, harness and helmet. crampons and boots can be rented at Gear Up in Canmore. Helmet and harness can be borrowed from the ACC if you don’t have them. \nThere is a $20 ACC fee for this trip. Participants must register via the website link.

DESCRIPTION:Ever wanted to try ice climbing? Then this is the trip for you! Learn all of the tips\, tricks and techniques you need to have a fun and safe day on the ice. \nJoin the ACC Great Plains in their inaugural Ice Climbing weekend in the beautiful Bow Valley. Climbing days will be December 15 and 16. Accommodations\, location and other details will be decided once the participants are confirmed. Applications will be accepted until Nov 30. \nIn addition to a harness\, helmet and belay device\, participants will need ice climbing boots\, crampons and ice axes for the weekend. These are available to rent right in Canmore at Gear Up at a reasonable rate.
